I've always been a relatively hopeful person. Glass half full. Forward thinker. Full of faith. But when life takes a hard turn and you're faced with circumstances beyond your control, that's when you find out if everything you've believed in is planted deep enough in your soul to sustain you when the storms of life hit.
HOPE became even more real to me when I was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer on December 31, 2020. In the days, months, and years that followed, I became even more certain of what I thought to be true. I clung to that hope and the hope that was offered to me by others on the darkest of days. Out of that season, I became more determined than ever to be an artist of HOPE and to encourage others to do the same. Hope is real. Hope is tangible. Hope is beautiful. Creatives, let's do our part to fill the world with hopeful art. There are so many who need what we have to offer. |
